Eligibility and accounts
Meal Monster is intended for adults age 18 and older in the United States. Users must provide accurate account information, keep sign-in credentials secure, and promptly notify Meal Monster of suspected unauthorized access. Each user is responsible for activity conducted through that user's account.
What Meal Monster provides
Meal Monster provides personal food logging, general-wellness nutrition estimates, progress tracking, and related features. Features may change, be limited, or become unavailable as the product develops. Meal Monster may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse, maintain the service, or comply with law.
Health and AI disclaimer
Meal Monster does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Nutrition targets, calorie values, AI estimates, and weight-related suggestions are estimates for general wellness and may be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular person.
Users should consult a physician or registered dietitian before making significant nutrition, activity, supplement, or weight changes, especially if they have a medical condition, a history of disordered eating, are pregnant, or take medication. Meal Monster must not be used for emergencies or safety-critical decisions.
Subscriptions and trials
The purchase screen displays the app-store-provided price, billing period, free-trial terms when eligible, and automatic-renewal terms before purchase. A subscription automatically renews at the disclosed price and billing period unless canceled through the app-store account used for purchase before renewal.
Apple or Google processes charges, cancellations, and refunds under the applicable store rules. RevenueCat helps Meal Monster verify subscription status. Users can open subscription management from the app and can restore eligible purchases. Deleting a Meal Monster account does not cancel an app-store subscription.
Acceptable use
Users may not access another person's account or information; evade subscription, entitlement, rate, or usage controls; attack or disrupt protected systems; upload unlawful or unauthorized content; overload or scrape the service; misrepresent affiliation with Meal Monster; or use the service in violation of law or another person's rights.
Meal Monster may investigate suspected misuse and restrict access when reasonably necessary.
User content
Users retain ownership of content they submit. Users give Meal Monster limited permission to host, transmit, process, reproduce, and display submitted content only as needed to operate requested features, secure and support the service, and comply with law. Users must have the right to submit that content.
AI processing occurs only after the consent described in the Privacy Policy. Turning off AI data sharing stops future AI processing until it is enabled again.
Third-party services and data
Meal Monster relies on app stores, RevenueCat, Supabase, OpenAI, Expo, Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central, and other disclosed providers. Third-party services may have their own terms and availability. User-contributed or third-party food information should be reviewed before reliance.
Ownership
Meal Monster and its licensors own the application, branding, software, artwork, and other service materials, excluding user content and third-party materials. No ownership right is transferred to users. Users receive a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the app under these Terms.
Account deletion and termination
Users may delete their account from the in-app Delete Account screen. Deletion removes the account and associated app data, except information retained when required for security, fraud prevention, billing, legal, dispute, or compliance purposes.
Meal Monster may suspend or terminate an account for material or repeated violations, security risk, fraud, unlawful conduct, or when required by law. Where appropriate, Meal Monster will provide notice or a support path.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Meal Monster is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without promises that every feature, estimate, database result, or service will be error-free or continuously available. Users remain responsible for decisions made using the service and for reviewing information before relying on it.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
Changes
Meal Monster may update these Terms. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and communicated when required. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
